The Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH)

REACH is the largest, most complex piece of chemicals legislation in Europe for more than 30 years. Its aim is to protect human health and the environment from hazardous chemicals and it will fundamentally change the way chemicals are purchased, used and sold within the European Union.

Lucite International is well prepared for the challenge and opportunity that REACH brings to its business. A multi-disciplined project team is already handling both the strategic and day-to-day management of compliance. The REACH team draws on the extensive knowledge and experience of people from all business functions to provide practical help and advice about REACH internally, and to customers, suppliers and partners in the supply chain externally.

Lucite International is also contributing to the development of technical guidance for the implementation of REACH by working with trade associations and industry groups.
